She can not believe she got lost. It was her fault though, She never ventured anywhere in Death City without Kendall or Beck. But she promised Kendall she could go by herself to pick up the groceries.
"Are you sure, Fi?" Kendall's voice drifted from the living room. It was obviously tinted with worry, but Phoebe ignored it.
She gave a small nod along with a smile "I'm sure. I think I've lived here long enough to find my way."
Even though he couldn't help it, he wanted to give his little sister freedom. She was growing up into a lady. Kendall nodded, as he slid Phoebe a slip of paper. "It has my number on it, in case you get lost."
Lost in her own little world, the small girl forgot to check where she was going. She somehow found her way to the market, but after that she couldn't find her way home. Thirty minutes or so later, she found her self coming across unfamiliar terrain in the huge city. In her defense, the city was huge and ordinary. It was huge, and oddly shaped that had many hidden places.
She was always doing this; spacing out and never knowing what's going on. The small girl weaved past an alley to find herself at a green park. It was nice to see green, but she wasn't in the mood to rejoice about it. Phoebe wished she could just turn into a dove and fly to her home, but since she hasn't talked to Lord Death yet about her being a magic animal, people will assume she was a witch. And who knows what they might do to her. There was nowhere she could transform, everybody was out and about on this perfect weather. Pheo rested on a bench, placing what little she had of groceries beside her. Everything was perfect today. A bright blue sky, with a cool breeze. It all seemed was so beautiful, and Phoebe was having so much trouble. It seemed everything was mocking her, especially that sun. The strawberry blond girl buried her face into her hands and started to cry. She was such a hopeless case.
